Importing & Exporting Checklist For Contacting Support
Before contacting Auction Flex support, be prepared to answer whether you are importing content from another source/platform into Auction Flex or exporting content from Auction Flex to another source (such as an Excel spreadsheet). Below are some of the questions you should be prepared to answer.
Importing Into Auction Flex
- Is the information being imported from a different platform or something (such as a spreadsheet) that you have created?
- Is this the first time you are importing this catalog, or are you trying to update an existing catalog with an updated spreadsheet?
- Are you importing images or only text?
- If you are importing images, how are the image files named?
- If you have multiple consignors and are importing a spreadsheet, is there a Consignor column on the spreadsheet?
Exporting From Auction Flex
- To what platform will you be submitting the information you export from Auction Flex?
- Is this the first time you are exporting this catalog?
- Are you exporting images or only text?
- If you are exporting images, do the image file names need to be formatted in a certain way for the platform you will be submitting them to?
- If you are exporting images, do you need the catalog versions of the images (these are larger in size) or the web versions of the images (these are compressed)?
