Data Transfer Local To Cloud

1. In Auction Flex, click the Backup button on the main menu. If you are using an older version of Auction Flex, select System Maintenance from the Miscellaneous menu.

2. Click the Backup Data button.

3. When prompted for a name, you can leave the short description field blank or enter an identifying name which can be used to locate the file more easily later. Once you have entered a name, click the OK button.

4. Select a location to which your backup will be saved, or leave the location as indicated in the AuctionFlex\Backup folder on the C drive, and click the Select button.

5. When the backup is complete, click the OK button and exit the Auction Flex application.

6. Ensure that no one else is logged into the cloud during the following steps.

7. Open Auction Flex in the cloud.

8. Click the Backup button in the main menu.

9. Click the Backup/Restore button on the left side of the window.

10. Click the Restore Backup of Data button.

The program will begin the backup process, which is a safety measure. You do not need to enter anything into the optional short description field. You can also select the default destination when you are prompted for one.

11. Once the backup is successful, the software will ask whether you wish to restore a backup. Click the Yes button.

12. Navigate to the backup file you created on your local computer. To do this, click This PC on the left side of the navigation window, double-click the (M:) Client C drive, double-click the AuctionFlex folder, and then double-click the Backup folder.

13. In the Backup folder you should see the most recent backup that you created earlier. You can confirm that you are selecting the correct file by noting the file’s time stamp. Select that backup.

The software will go through the restore process. When that process is complete, the software will automatically close.

14. Open the software again. Your data should now reflect that of your local computer, confirming that the process was successful.
