Build Your Catalog
If you are conducting a live auction and choose to clerk on the fly, there is no need to enter your lots into AF360 prior to the auction. However, for any other type of sale, it is necessary to enter the lots into the software. You can do this either manually or by importing lots from a spreadsheet. This section will focus on manual entry.
The ‘Lot‘ section is where you’ll add your items. You can also import and export items from this section. Additionally, this is where you can set your Lot Stagger and sale orders, if needed. You can upload the auction to HiBid from this section as well.
- Click the ‘New Lot’ button the add a new lot.
- Enter your lot’s details, including the lot number, seller information, quantity, title, and description.
- You can drag and drop your images into the lot. Then, click ‘Save/Next’ to proceed to the next lot, or click ‘Save/Edit’ to open the lot in a detailed view for additional settings.
Tips:
- Write engaging and highly detailed descriptions for your lots. Accurate descriptions help prevent chargebacks from bidders.
- Take high-quality photos of your items to ensure they are accurately represented.
Go to ‘Lot Options’ and set your ‘Lot Stagger’ time.
Note:
Lot stagger time in an online auction refers to the interval between the closing times of consecutive lots. This feature is used to manage and spread out the closing of auction lots to ensure a smoother and more organized bidding process.
