Groups & Categories
Auction Flex groups and categories help potential online bidders search through all uploaded lots based on specific folders.
However, these groups and categories are not uploaded to HiBid. Instead, HiBid automatically categorizes items for online searches.
For example, an item in Auction Flex might be placed in the group “Antiques & Collectibles” and the subcategory “Ancient Artifacts.”
1. Click the Inventory drop-down menu and select Maintain Inventory.
2. Navigate to the inventory item you wish to change using the inventory controls at the bottom of the window.
3. Locate the AFlex Group field in the bottom left corner and set the group.
4. Set the category in the Category field immediately to the right of AFlex Group.
5. Close the inventory item to save your changes.
Set Categories
To set your own categories:
1. Click the Miscellaneous menu in Auction Flex and select Maintain Settings & Options.
2. Select the Group+Cat tab.
3. Here you can add one category, add a list of categories, disable/enable categories, or delete categories altogether. Groups cannot be edited, added, or deleted.
