Export Custom Mail List

Mailing Lists are a powerful tool to group buyers based on shared characteristics, such as common interests, geography, purchasing history, or other criteria. Follow these steps to create and manage mailing lists:

Step 1: Access Mailing List Maintenance

  • Click on the Mail List Maintenance button from the Navigator or the Navigator Toolbar.

Step 2: Create a New Mailing List

  • In the Mailing List Maintenance window, click the Add button to create a new mailing list.

Step 3: Assign Members to the Mailing List

You have several options for assigning members to your mailing list, depending on your needs:

Option 1: Use the Advanced Mailing List Builder

  • Click the Adv. Build button to access the Advanced Mailing List Builder.
  • Use the available tabs to set criteria for your list. These can include:
    • Keywords: Target buyers who match specific keywords.
    • Inventory Types Purchased: Group buyers based on items they’ve bought.
    • Purchase Volumes: Identify buyers based on spending during a specific period.
  • Combine multiple criteria to refine your audience, for instance, by separating returning or active customers from those who haven’t attended auctions recently.

Option 2: Manually Assign Members

  • From the Mail Center, double-click the desired list to open the Mailing List Maintenance window.
  • This window displays totals for both members and non-members.
  • Click Members & Detailed Info to:
    • Add or remove customers manually.
    • Add all customers from the Customer Center by selecting Add All.

Step 4: Use Your Mailing List

Once you’ve created and populated your mailing list, you can use it in several ways:

1. Print Mailings

  • Click the printer icon from Mailing List Maintenance.
  • Options include printing envelopes, mailers, or labels.
  • You’ll be prompted to:
    • Exclude buyers with email addresses.
    • Skip labels for buyers with blank address fields to minimize waste.

2. Export Mailing Lists

  • Click the Export button to export your mailing list.
  • Select from various formats for use in external programs or for sending to printers.
  • You can choose to exclude buyers with email addresses from the exported list.

3. Send Emails

  • Click the Bulk Email button in Mailing List Maintenance.
  • Compose your email and send it to selected mailing lists or all available lists.
